REALLY Easy No-Knead Bread
Baked using a 3.3-liter ceramic Kermansavi Hotpot.
Making bread doesn’t have to be complicated! This simple recipe is perfect for anyone who wants homemade bread without the hassle. You only need a few ingredients, and the result is a delicious, crusty loaf that will make your kitchen smell amazing. No fancy tools required—just a good pot and some time for the dough to rise.
Ingredients:
- 7 dl flour (e.g., organic bread flour)
- 4 dl water
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 packet of dry yeast
Steps:
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine the flour and salt. If you want to get creative, this is also the time to add any extras like dried fruits or seeds.
- Activate the yeast: Dissolve the dry yeast in water that’s around 42°C (just warm, not hot). Then pour this into the flour mixture.
- Stir it up: Gently mix the ingredients until you have a dough. If it feels too loose, you can add a bit more flour. Don’t overwork it—this bread is all about being easygoing.
- Let it rise: Cover the bowl with a towel and leave the dough to rise. It needs at least an hour, but if you’re patient, letting it sit overnight will make it even better.
- Heat the oven (and the pot): Preheat your oven to 250°C. While you’re at it, place your pot inside to heat it up as well.
- Prep the dough: Once your dough has risen nicely, turn it out onto a floured surface and fold it over a couple of times—no need to knead vigorously.
- Bake: Carefully transfer the dough into the hot pot. Cover with the lid and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. After that, take off the lid and let it bake for another 5-10 minutes to get that perfect golden crust.
- Enjoy: Let the bread cool a little before slicing into it, if you can resist! Pair it with your favorite butter or topping, and enjoy a slice of homemade goodness.
This recipe is a great example of how simple ingredients can lead to something truly wonderful. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or someone just trying it out for the first time, this method is nearly foolproof. Plus, nothing beats the satisfaction of pulling a fresh loaf out of your own oven.
