About me

Hello! I’m Kimmo Palosaari, with 25 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. From surface-mount technology (SMT) techniques to PCB rework, if it beeps or blinks, I’ve likely worked on it. I’ve even built and maintained complete SMT production lines—consider me the Bob the Builder of electronics.

With a foundation in electrical and automation technology, supplemented by IPC certifications, specialized courses, and business studies, I’m deeply committed to my craft. Outside of work, my passion extends to photography, videography, and graphic design, constantly honing my skills behind the camera. The blog’s icon, inspired by the Aurora Borealis and traditional Thai motifs, reflects both my love for visual art and my deep connection to Finland and Thailand. When not working with electronics or camera gear, I often escape to Thailand, where my family has a second home.

Yup, thats me. You probably wonder how i got here…

It’s around 2006, and I’m making cable assemblies and pretending I have a clue how to tweak the reflow oven settings.
